// ABOUT ilDance //

ilDance is an independent production body which is dedicated to contemporary dance and working from Gothenburg, Sweden.  It was founded by its directors, Israel Aloni and Lee Brummer, in 2012 and since then has become one of Sweden's most dynamic and prolific independent dance organisations.

ilDance activities include:

• Creation and touring of original, rigorous contemporary dance works.

• Initiating, leading and partnering in numerous international cooperation projects which are supported by the Creative Europe program of the European Union.

• Supporting contemporary dance with and by young and emerging artists across Sweden and internationally.

• Offering contexts for research and experimentation within and through contemporary dance.

• Gaga Sweden - coordination and management of Gaga Movement Language activities across Sweden.

ilDance is a body with many organs which are all gathered by our devotion to creating and sharing multidisciplinary contemporary art, always with a strong dance dimension, to actively partake in society and the communities with whom we interact.

We operate on a hybrid model which has been uniquely developed by its directors to ensure our organisation’s contemporaneity and resilience. The creativity, bravery and agility that are so evident in ilDance’s choreographic practices, also guide the company’s operative and production methodologies. We in ilDance believe that the innovation and flexibility of artists should not be confined within the realm of artistic creation process but can and should also inform the practices of production and management.

Our head office is in Kulturkluster at Järntorget in Gothenburg together with Danskompaniet Spinn, ShareMusic & Performing Arts, Embla and Språng among others.
