Second Workshop in Viminacium

After an inspiring first workshop at Viminacium in February this year, ilDance returns to continue the creative process in preparation for the performance at the Dancing Histor(y)ies festival in June.

This time, costume designer Amanda Wisselgren will lead a workshop on costume making with design students in Belgrade, while composer Didi Erez will start capturing the sound of Viminacium and the communities around it, together with students at the local music school in Pozarevac.

The partners that are involved in this activity are: Institute of Archaeology as the institutional partner, Belgrade School of Design and music school in Pozarevac as local stakeholders and ilDance as the artistic partner with the presence of Amanda Wisselgren (costume designer), Didi Erez (composer) & Hanna Magdalena Gödl (producer).

Workshop in Tharros

In the beginning of April, ilDance will visit Tharros heritage site in Italy and the surrounding area to meet with local communities, learn about their culture, history and traditions as part of the creation process for the performance which will be presented in July this year.

One specific tradition we will have the opportunity to learn more about is that of the barefoot runners Corsa degli Scalzi as we will meet two of the groups who have been part of this unique procession for many years. We will connect with local musicians, folk dancers and textile makers, sharing stories and experiences that bring together the site of Tharros with the living heritage of the area.

The partners that are involved in this activity are: Associazione Enti Locali per le Attività Culturali e di Spettacolo as the institutional partner, Fondazione Mont’e Prama, Soc. Coop. Penisola del Sinis, Barefoot runners “Is Curridoris” , Oristano Museum, Civic School of Music as stakeholders and ilDance and Polish Dance Theatre as artistic partners.
