PASSING Performance on 10 October at Toplocentrala

PASSING, developed by Israel Aloni and commissioned by Toplocentrala, will be presented regularly in the program of Toplocentrala. The piece is performed by five local, female identifying artists Mikhaela Griveva, Vasiliya Drebova, Ina Gerginova-Evtimova, Zhanna Pencheva, Emilia Toncheva. Tomer Giat joins the cast as choreographer assistant and composer Alexander Evtimov (Sham) who created the original soundtrack. 

PASSING is an examination of the distorted field between being what you say that you are and saying what you feel that you are. It challenges the notion of identity and furthermore, that of its politics. Why do so many of us try to pass the test in the school of social conformism? What are the processes and mechanisms we employ to affirm the identities we assign to what we perceive to be our-self?
