New Work by Lee Brummer: Making Sense

Last week, Lee Brummer began the process of her new work Making Sense (formerly Without) in a residency at Balettakademien, Stockholm. Collaborating with performers and creative partners Jennifer Wallen and Anoushka Jago, Brummer delved into the terrain of loss; personal, collective, tangible, and intangible, and the quiet, complex processes that accompany it.

The work uses both original and existing texts, the performers navigate this landscape through the body and voice, often blurring the lines between the two. The residency was concluded with an intimate work in progress sharing in which the presence of the audience was an essential part of the atmosphere in which the work unfolded.
