Dancing Histor(y)ies Highlights
Workshops in Mölndal, Vitlycke, Sardinia and Gothenburg
ilDance artists Jennifer Wallen and Victor Persson recently visited Mölndal and Vitlycke, where they engaged with different communities through movement and workshops. They shared their artistic processes, explored local histories and built connections through dance.
Meanwhile, artists Tomer Giat and Victor Persson, traveled to Sardinia where they experienced local traditions and engaged with local artists and communities. Back in Gothenburg, Jennifer Wallen and Victor Persson continued their residency and had the opportunity to participate in a workshop with Balettakademien Gothenburg.
Upcoming Project in Mérida
ilDance artists Elias Khanamidi, Victor Persson, and Jennifer Wallen will travel to Mérida to begin a co-creation residency with local communities. This process will be essential in developing the upcoming performance in Mérida, scheduled for July 4, 2025.
These experiences are all part of the ongoing preparations for the Dancing Histor(y)ies tour, which begins on May 22 in Rome.
Dancing Histor(y)ies Festival 2025
The first edition of Dancing Histor(y)ies will take place in Rome, Italy, on May 21–22, 2025. ilDance will perform on May 22. In the lead-up to the performance, our creative team will collaborate with local performers, integrating them into the work. The week will also include community workshops, discussions, and guided tours to deepen the exchange.
