Dancing Histor(y)ies: A Memorable Day of Performance at Castel Sant’Angelo
On May 21, ilDance artists had the privilege of performing twice at the iconic Castel Sant’Angelo in Rome. Both performances were received with warmth and enthusiasm, creating an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
The historic setting added a unique dimension to the day. It felt as though the performance was connected to the space—shaped by its architecture and the people present. Movements echoed through the historic walls, creating a powerful connection between the dancers, the audience, and the surroundings. Audience reactions were heartfelt, and felt a deep sense of presence and togetherness throughout the day.
We were also inspired by our fellow Artistic Partners. Each group brought something unique, adapting their performances to the location in imaginative ways. The diversity of artistic voices—rooted in different cultures and perspectives, made the festival rich with emotion and meaning.
