Knowledge Production Residencies by the Swedish Collective for iCoDaCo

It all begins with an idea.

The Sweden-based collective of the international project iCoDaCo is hosted at Studio Skaftarp (in the Västra Götaland region) for their next knowledge production residency from 03-16 March 2025.

The residencies include two community meetings; A dinner with the local professional dancer Stina Nilsson at the Kulturforum on Tuesday, 04 March 2025, and a walking and biking event with Studio Skaftarp on Wednesday, 12 March 2025.

The collective kicked off the research component of the multi-anum project in Fall 2024 with a one week residency at Skillinge Teater. Throughout that week, they explored themes of movement, space, and connection through creative experiments. The collective also met with the community of Skillinge in an artist talk on Thursday, 28 November 2024.

The residency at Studio Skaftarp is facilitated in collaboration with Moa Kompani.

Co-funded by the European Union.

It all begins with an idea.

Dancing Histor(y)ies started its first round of workshops for this year, bringing movement, culture, and community engagement to life. From 03-09 March 2025 in Viminacium and 10-16 March 2025 in Rome, dancers Arunas Mozuraitis and Elias Khanamidi will lead workshops with local communities.

These sessions mark the beginning of an in-depth research process leading up to the Dancing Histor(y)ies Festivals throughout the summer of 2025 in Rome (Italy), Nora (Sardinia), Viminacium (Serbia), Merida (Spain), and Gothenburg (Sweden).

In addition to the workshops, a partners’ meeting will take place on 24-26 March 2025 in Belgrade, Serbia. Representatives from all the partners of the project will come together to discuss the program’s progress, future steps, and key topics. Arunas Mozuraitis and Israel Aloni will also be participating in these essential discussions.
